  • General characteristics

    Air handling units (AHU), the heart of ventilation systems, work by introducing outside air and treating it to keep temperature, relative humidity and CO2 at the desired values, thus guaranteeing good IAQ and a healthy environment for all building occupants. CAREL has been operating in the AHU sector for many years, providing increasingly comprehensive solutions that evolve alongside the changing needs of its customers.

    CAREL offers the following for the management and production of AHUs:

    • k.air, a preprogrammed and fully-configurable controller for AHU, designed to reduce times and costs, from design to commissioning.
    • Isothermal and adiabatic humidifiers to increase the relative humidity of the supply air.
    • Rotary and plate heat exchangers, to recover energy and moisture from the exhaust air flow.
    • Temperature, humidity and CO2 sensors for indoor, outdoor or duct installation.
    • Modulating dampers to correctly manage air flow.
    • High efficiency packages (compressor, inverter and electronic expansion valve) to enable active heat recovery
    • Gas leakage detectors for A2L refrigerants
    • Supervisor systems for the management of information and optimisation of the performance of entire systems
    • Specific electrical panels, combining both the power supply and electronics, in accordance with system requirements and the regulations in force.
    • CAREL’s experience in the management of adiabatic humidification for air cooling, with consequent benefits in terms of energy saving
